Can Tinnitus Go Away?
Tinnitus goes away for most but for others it can persist.
If you experience loud noise suddenly (like going to a concert) you can notice your ears buzzing and can generally expect your tinnitus to go away in a day or two.
If you suffer severe ear damage or have an ear disorder, then your tinnitus can persist and be more severe. These can last weeks, months and even years.
There are cases where tinnitus is permanent and does not go away, even after wearing hearing aids.
Having tinnitus long-term can greatly affect quality of life. It can cause a lack of concentration and even depression.
